Questions people ask
Why is a school bell so hard to ignore?
An electric bell rattles a metal clapper against a bell dozens of times per second. That fast, metallic buzz is loud and bright, and years of school taught most of us to react to it.
Is this a fire alarm bell?
No. It is the class-change bell of a school hall. It is loud, but it does not sound like a fire alarm siren.
