Questions people ask
Is birdsong a good alarm?
It is one of the most pleasant sounds to wake up to, but it is soft. It works best for light sleepers, or as a first alarm with a louder one a few minutes later.
Why do birds sing in the morning?
It is called the dawn chorus: many birds sing most at first light to claim territory and attract mates, and sound carries well in the still, cool morning air.
